Purpose and Mission Statement                                                            
Believing that the St. Mark Baptist Church is an institution of Christ founded upon the Doctrine of the New Testament. Our purpose is to manifest the Name, Truth and Spirit of God as revealed in Jesus Christ through the Holy Bible and to cause all people to and accept His power to save and to be Blessed.

This purpose shall be accomplished through the preaching of Christ at home and abroad, ministering to everyone (humanity) in His name. Setting worthily standards of Christian living, and giving to the cause of Mission, Christian Education, and such institutions of mercy as well best accomplish the purpose of God in the Gospel.

We believe that God wants us to seek the salvation of sinners, the reclamation of backsliders, the sanctification of saints, the liberation of the oppressed and the empowerment of all people, spiritually, economically and socially.
